Sogobujutsu (continued)
The guiding principles of our Heishin Budo (Calm Spirit Martial Way) are firmly rooted in the Seven Virtues of Bushido. These ideals influenced the code, which molded the lives of every Samurai since the early 13th Century. The virtues are: Gi (Integrity), Rei (Respect),
Yu (Courage), Meiyo (Honor), Jin (Compassion), Makoto (Honesty and Sincerity), and Chu (Duty and Loyalty).
True mastery of Japanese Martial Arts will never be attained without an in-depth understanding and personal practice of Bushido. We believe through dedicated study and practice of Sogobujutsu and Bushido, one will become a modern-day "Samurai — one who serves."
Heishin-Ryu offers the following disciplines for study:
» Tejutsu (Striking Arts)
» Jujutsu (Grappling Arts)
» Bukijutsu (Weapon Arts)
» Heihojutsu (Strategy Arts)
